Another strong position for Sri Lanka against India, with the home side 312/2 after day one of the second test

Tharanga Paranavitana and Kumar Sangakkara have hit centuries to help Sri Lanka into a powerful position after the opening day of the second cricket test against India in Colombo.

Paranavitana made exactly 100 to follow his 111 scored at Galle and Sangakkara is undefeated on 130 to go with his 103 in the first test.

Sri Lanka is 312 for 2 at stumps and leads the three-match series 1-0.
