Vaughan, NZ Cricket, applauds Cricket Aust for agreeing on nomination of Isaac for ICC VP pres, despite statement praising John Howard
New Zealand Cricket and Cricket Australia have reached an agreement on their nomination for the ICC vice presidency
After John Howard was rejected by the ICC and Sir John Anderson pulled out of the running, the NZC Chairman Alan Isaac has been put forward for the role. New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan says it has been a long road, but the trans-Tasman organisations are finally on the same page.
"We're very encouraged and very positive towards how Cricket Australia has approached this at their board meeting, they've fully endorsed the nomination of Alan Isaac."
However, Cricket Australia has affirmed its belief John Howard is the best candidate available in a media statement.
