World number one Tiger Woods will make his eighth start of the year at next week's WGC Bridgestone Invitational.

Tiger Woods has confirmed he will defend his title at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at the Firestone Country Club next week.

The world number one will make his eighth start of the year, having yet to win an event.

The Ohio course is a happy hunting ground for Woods however, who is the defending champion and a winner there on seven occasions. He has never finished lower than fourth at the event.
