Red Bull discard Brendon Hartley has learnt just how quickly a team can move forward from dropping a driver

The Red Bull junior racing team has quickly cut ties with New Zealand driver Brendon Hartley.

Not only has it confirmed the decision to release Hartley on its website, but it has also removed any reference to him. Hartley's results from this season in the Renault World Series have been taken off the site.

A young French driver is moving into the Formula Renault Series to replace Hartley, who had been with the junior programme for four years.

Hartley does not have a drive with any other team.
