Returning Silver Fern Anna Scarlett has a few nerves as she gets her first taste of international netball in four years

Returning netballer Anna Scarlett concedes she has a lot to prove during this week's Silver Ferns trials.

Scarlett is one of 17 battling for a place in the Commonwealth Games and World Championships squad, four years after giving up the game for a beach volleyball career.

The wildcard in the pack, Scarlett says she is using the pressure and nerves to motivate her and prove she is up to the task.

The squad of 12 is named on Friday.
