Gordon Tietjens has brought through two new players in his sevens squad for the first two rounds of World Series

New Zealand sevens coach Gordon Tietjens has named two debutants in his 12-man squad for the first two rounds of the IRB World Series.

Bay of Plenty's Toby Arnold and Wellington's Buxton Popoali'i join the side, to be led again by Counties Manukau's DJ Forbes.

Tietjens is happy with the squad's mix of youth and experience, which he says provides a good platform for next year's Commonwealth Games.

The teams leaves for the first round in Dubai on Sunday.
