Jade North, the former Socceroo international could be coming to Wellington according to confident Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert

The Wellington Phoenix are firming as the favourites to sign former Socceroos defender Jade North.

After uncertainty earlier this week, Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert says he is now very confident the A-League club will sign North.

The club has confirmed the signing of Argentinean midfielder Toto while young striker Mirjan Pavlovic is expected to be signed in the coming days.

The Phoenix completed their preparation for the forthcoming season with a 5-1 win over a Wairarapa selection in Masterton this afternoon.
