Qatar's World Cup chances improve

The support of Asian Football boss Mohamed Bin Hammam will improve Qatar's chances of hosting the 2022 Football World Cup.

Qatar's chances of hosting the 2022 Football World Cup have been given a massive boost with Asian Football Confederation President Mohamed Bin Hammam throwing his support behind the bid.

Bin Hammam is also a FIFA Executive Committee member and could have some influence on voting.

Qatar is expected to be competing with Australia, South Korea, Japan and the United States for hosting rights.

It is considered a certainty that the 2018 World Cup will be hosted in Europe.
