Aaron Clapham is clinging to hope he can break out of the NZ Football Championship and on to bigger and better things

Scandinavia is an option for unwanted All Whites midfielder Aaron Clapham.

Clapham is keen to get out of the New Zealand Football Championship and into a professional contract after his stint in the All Whites World Cup squad.

With all the A-League squads all but confirmed, Clapham is praying for someone to come knocking but there are also options overseas.

He says there are places in Europe like Belgium and Sweden where it is a lot more relaxed with Visa issues.

Clapham says he is gutted he missed out on a spot with the Wellington Phoenix, a team he loves and supports, and while he had been hoping that something would happen, he understands coach Ricki Herbert is happy with his midfield combination.
