Germany has beaten Great Britain 4-1 while Australia was a 2-1 winner over the Netherlands to make World Cup final

Australia has earned a meeting with defending world champions Germany in the final of the hockey World Cup in Delhi.

The Kookaburras have beaten the Netherlands 2-1 in their semifinal after Germany had dismissed Great Britain 4-1.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has lost 3-2 to Canada in the playoff for 11th and 12th. It is Pakistan's worst ever showing at the tournament and has prompted the entire squad to announce their international retirement.

Earlier, the board had sacked coach Shahid Ali Khan as well as the team manager and selection committee.
