The Boston Red Sox completed a three-game series sweep of the Los Angeles Angels with a 7-3 win in MLB action today.

The homer-happy Boston Red Sox completed a clean sweep as they beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 7-3 in the third game of their MLB American League series.

Long balls from third baseman Adrian Beltre, second baseman Bill Hall, first baseman Kevin Youkilis and shortstop Marco Scutaro powered the Red Sox, while starter Josh Beckett won just his second game of the season.

Beckett struck out five while giving up three runs through seven innings earning his first win since April 10.

Twin two-run homers from left-fielder Carlos Lee lifted the Houston Astros to an 8-1 win over the Chicago Cubs in National League action.

Lance Berkman (2-2), Hunter Pence (3-5) and Lee (2-4) in the heart of the Astros order were too much for the Cubs' pitchers, knocking starter Randy Wells out in the sixth inning and then hammering the bullpen.
