Be Part of New Zealand Sporting History

New Zealand is a world leader in Rugby Sevens, having won the men's IRB Sevens World Series a record nine times and silver at the Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens in 2009.

With men's and women's Rugby Sevens now in the Olympic programme for 2016, the New Zealand Rugby Union is commencing an intense high performance programme with the goal to win both gold medals.

Go4Gold: 2016 is all about identifying and attracting talented athletes who want to share this goal.

Got what it takes?

Have you ever dreamt of representing New Zealand and winning an Olympic gold medal?

Well here's your chance.

Rugby Sevens is a fast-paced, dynamic and exciting sport that is on the rise, and will debut at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The New Zealand Rugby Union is looking for athletic, highly motivated and resilient female athletes aged 16 and upwards to join our National Women's Sevens development programme. Previous rugby experience is not required.

We'll be travelling around New Zealand in 2012, looking for our next Sevens stars. If you think you've got what it takes to win gold, complete the registration form below and we'll be in touch.
