Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell believes the Springboks will be a much more potent attacking force in the return Rugby Championship test against the All Blacks in Johannesburg.

Mitchell says Heyneke Meyer is certain to start with youngster Johan Goosen in place of Morne Steyn at first five.

He says he certainly has the ability to play at the line like Carter and Cruden and will give the Boks the ability to attack with the ball.

Mitchell believes the All Blacks management is weighted too heavily towards personnel who played the game amongst the backs.

He's criticised the side's forward play against South Africa saying they need to refocus their forward play because they are just going from side to side.
