An under-11s rugby game in Wellington turned violent over the weekend, with two men on the sidelines arrested.
Two men associated with North's Rugby Club, including one believed to be a coach, have been charged with the assault of the Paramata-Plimmerton Rugby Club's coach.
Chairman of the ParaPlim Rugby Football Club, Lyall Hedges says it's not something they should have to deal with.
He says the matter's now with police and the club won't make further comment at this stage.
It's believed the men are due to appear in court tomorrow.
