Jesse Ryder's set to make his first appearance of the home international summer in the Twenty20 decider against South Africa at Eden Park tonight.
Ryder's been battling injuries and missed the entire Zimbabwe tour and the start of the Proteas series.
Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum says Ryder has to stamp his mark.
He says the team's performed well without Ryder but he's good enough to live up to expectations.
