Ponting's ODI career finished

Ricky Ponting's days as an ODI player have come to an end.

Ponting has just fronted a media conference after being dropped from the Australian side for the remainder of the one day tri-series, involving India and Sri Lanka.

The former skipper says the selectors have told him that they don't see him in their future plans in the one day side.

Ponting will continue to play test cricket and says he believes he still has plenty to offer in the longer form of the game.
