England batsman Kevin Pietersen has been sensationally dropped for the third test against South Africa. It's alleged the controversial run scorer sent derogatory text messages about his teammates to some of the Proteas players. Former captain Nasser Hussain says Pietersen has crossed the line. "What was he texting the opposition players about? If it's just 'what are you doing for dinner tonight?' Dale or AB or whoever he's texting absolutely fine, but if you're criticising a fellow team mate, then again, that's just a little bit too far." Hussain says Pietersen only has himself to blame for the mess. "The mistake in all this doesn't lie with Andy Flower - he took on Robert Mugabe, he can take on Keven Pietersen. The mistake's not with Hugh Morris, the mistake's not with ECB management. If everything goes slightly wrong this weekend at Lords, the mistake is Kevin Pietersen." The ECB says Pietersen had been warned not to send the texts messages. The third test gets underway at Lords on Thursday night. Photo: Getty Images |
