Simpson wins US Open

American Webb Simpson has won the US Golf Open.

Simpson's carded a final round two-under par 68 to finish at one-over par and a shot ahead of fellow American Michael Thompson and Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell.

Overnight leader Jim Furyk carded a four-over par 74 to finish at three over.
