Lydia Ko's management team is having to re-adjust their thinking when it comes to how they manage the 14-year-old's schedule on and off the golf course.
Ko fatigued in the final round of the New Zealand women's Open, to slide from a share of the lead to a tie for 17th.
Coach Guy Wilson says along with managing her media requirements, Ko will also play fewer tournaments.
Wilson says her high profile has made it harder to keep her focused on playing to her best ability.
Wilson says she's currently on a seven-week stretch of back to back tournaments and it's definitely having an effect on her body.
He says the more and more media she has to do, the more it will have an effect on the way she plays.
Wilson says Ko is going to have a week off and miss the North Island women's stroke play in the Waikato, which she has won for the past three years.
Ko is currently in Melbourne for the Riversdale Cup, which gets underway tomorrow.
