Beau Hossler, a 17-year-old amateur, has moved into a two way share of lead midway through the second round at the US Open.

Hossler is tied with fellow American Jim Furyk on one under par, two shots clear of Tiger Woods and Graeme McDowell.

Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald carded final round scores of 73 and 72 which at present will not be enough to allow them to come back for the weekend.
