The Warriors have finished their season in appropriate fashion, losing 42-22 to Canberra at Mount Smart Stadium. The home side lead 22-6 at halftime, but like many of their matches in 2012, they failed to back that up in the second spell. Departing forward Micheal Luck says it's not the way he wanted to leave the club. "Would have been a bit better if the scoreboard was the other way around. Not how you wanna go out but had a ball and I wouldn't change a thing so yea on to the next chapter." Standoff James Maloney is also leaving the club and says despite a poor season, he has fond memories of his time at the club. "It's been a tough year I suppose, not everything goes your way in footy and it's just how it is. We've had some good times with the boys and I'll remember the good times." Manu Vatuvei scored a double for the Warriors, with Pita Godinet and Ben Matulino also crossing for four pointers. Photo: Defeated Warriors/ Photosport |
