He's been heavily linked with the vacant Warriors coaching job, but Tim Sheens is still clinging on at the Wests Tigers. There was speculation Sheens was facing the axe at a board meeting last night following a disappointing 2012 season and in the wake of rumours of a player revolt against him. However, chief executive Stephen Humphreys says Sheens is safe for now until a thorough review was completed. "Tim loves the game, loves our club and would love to stay involved but we need to review all aspects of the business including that aspect and we're getting close to a conclusion on that." Reports of player dissatisfaction with Sheens comes after popular long-serving stars Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington were this week allowed to leave to join Cronulla. Photo: Photosport |
