McClennan pleased with new finals system

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby League News | Thursday February 23 2012 6:34

A new finals system is being hailed by Warriors coach Brian McClennan.

The McIntyre system is being done away with and instead split the top four and bottom four finalists into separate pools, like the AFL.

McClennan says he's had experience with it and they've only been good.

He says he's coached under it in the Super League and it's definitely progress.

Meanwhile McClennan's praised the signing of Warriors captain Simon Mannering until the end of the 2015 season.
