Former Warrior Justin Morgan is looking increasingly like one of the favourites to return to the club as head coach. The Canberra Times reports that the Raiders assistant will travel to Auckland in the next few weeks for an interview, as the Warriors look to replace Brian McClennan. Neither Morgan nor Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah are keen to comment on the speculation, but Canberra is prepared to release him from the second year of his contract if he secures a head coaching role. Morgan played for the Warriors in the 2002 grand final side and coached Hull KR between 2005 and 2011. Photo: Justin Morgan playing for the Warriors in 2001 (Photosport) |
