Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon is poised to play a limited role in the WRC for 2013. Paddon is expected to make the jump up from the second tier SWRC at the end of this season if he can secure the financial backing. Manager Kim Vatnan, who also looks after top driver Sébastien Ogier, is confident he'll be racing in the top class in selected events. Vatnan says it costs around $2 million a season to compete in a top car on the WRC and Paddon is unlikely to find that sort of cash. Kim Vatnan says Paddon would also race in some International rally Championship events in 2013 to keep him busy. |
