Holden veteran Craig Lowndes has claimed his first win of the V8 Supercars season, taking out the 200k race in Darwin. Lowndes passed title holder and championship leader Jamie Whincup in the dying stages of the 69-lap race at Hidden Valley Raceway. Ford's Mark Winterbottom finished in third, while Shane van Gisbergen was the first Kiwi home in his second seventh placed finish of the weekend. Whincup finishes the weekend on top of the championship ladder, 38 points to the good of Ford's Will Davison. |
