The new V8 Supertourers is underfire before a round has even taken place.
Vee Eight Entrants Group Assocation, the holding company of New Zealand V8's Limited is taking legal action against the Directors of Supertourers in relation to the development of the category's Car of the Future.
Some of those in charge of the new series are former Directors at New Zealand V8's and were there during the development of the new car.
VEEGA Chairman Ian Tulloch says they have no choice but to take action.
He says it's severely damaged motorsport in general and he's never seen something like this before.
The V8 Supertourers is due to begin at Hampton Downs this weekend.
