One of the Silver Ferns' most experienced players could be forced out of her favourite position. Laura Langman has played the majority of her 80 tests for New Zealand in the centre bib. But the mid court is a problem area for coach Wai Taumaunu at the current trials, and she says Langman has been in the wing attack bib this week. "I think we have to keep those options open. I did like what I saw today, it's really a matter of who will play centre with her. "Deliberately there are a lot of mid courters here, so there are a lot of people to look at. I'm pleased with the quality that we've seen, probably still not down to the final few who will surround Laura in the test matches." Taumaunu says Langman trialled in the wing attack bib yesterday and she liked what she saw. Kayla Cullen says playing centre this week has involved plenty more running.
She says it's been really tough on the body but it's a good challenge.
