The Silver Ferns have overcome a sluggish start to eventually ease past England in the Quad Series in Wellington. Trailing 26-24 at half time, the Ferns piled on the points in the third quarter to lead them to a 57-46 victory. New Zealand won that quarter 17-9. While the Ferns only missed eight of their 65 attempted shots, the ball into the midcourt was again an issue that must worry coach Wai Taumaunu. Earlier, Australia thrashed South Africa 68-36.
