The Silver Ferns have had their first taste of game action during their training camp on Auckland's North Shore.
All 25 players in the group tasted court-time in an intersquad match, with both sides in the morning session evenly stacked up on experience and youth.
Coach Wai Taumaunu says it was a pleasing first hit-out.
She says it's a trial so there's sometimes a lack of understanding but otherwise she's heartened. There's no injuries in the squad, with the only minor concern coming from a ball that hit Pulse defender Katrina Grant in the face. |
