Williams ruled out of starting seven

Casey Williams has been ruled out of the Silver Ferns starting line-up for this afternoon's series opening Constellation Cup test against Australia in Melbourne.

The Silver Ferns captain pulled up limp this morning with a knee injury and New Zealand's medical staff don't want to risk her.

Laura Langman will captain the Ferns in Williams absence, with Williams still to suit up and sit on the bench.

The full New Zealand starting line-up is: Katrina Grant, Leana de Bruin, Anna Harrison, Laura Langman, Millie Lees, Maria Tutaia and Irene van Dyk.
