A late fightback's handed the Canterbury Tactix a thrilling 62-61 ANZ Championship win over the Southern Steel in Invercargill. The Tactix trailed by four goals going into the final quarter and were behind right up until the final seconds when Jo Harten nailed the winning shot. Tactix captain Maree Bowden says they weren't where they needed to be for the first part of the game. "It felt quite flat there for the first half so when we wetn to the changing rooms we tried to lift the energy levels. I don't think it came until probably the last five minutes but that's ok." Jo Harten landed the winning shot with just seconds left and Jodi Brown missed the tying shot down the other end for the Steel. Bowden says her mind went to a training scenario. "You live for those moments don't you, you practice them in training. I just knew we had 43 seconds, and so that's quite a long time so I knew we had to play around first, keep possession then get a nice easy shot in. Oh gosh that was good." The Tactix remain behind the Steel on the competition ladder in percentages, with both having two wins each. It's just the fourth win for the Tactix since the start of 2010.
