3000 attend celebration parade for Magic

Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic are lapping up their day in sun as they celebrate becoming the first New Zealand team to win the ANZ Championship.

The Magic have been received by around 3000 fans for their parade in Tauranga.

Coach Noeline Taurua says the team is enjoying the moment.

"It's not everyday that you win an ANZ Championship. We're going to live this moment and then celebrate along with the people of our region and a lot of people who have believed in us."

The Magic will conclude their day of celebrations at Hamilton's Claudelands Arena from 4pm.
