The Melbourne Vixens have handed the Southern Steel a netballing lesson 56-38 in their ANZ Championship game in Invercargill. The result was all but assured after the opening quarter, when the Vixens led 17-6 and extended their lead to 14 by halftime. The win should secure the Vixens the minor premiership, with the Northern Mystics needing to win by around 80 goals against the Swifts tomorrow to take it from their grasp. Photo: Photosport |
