Nonu returns but won't play opener

Ma'a Nonu returns from his stint in Japan this week but won't suit up for the Blues in Friday night's Super Rugby opener against the Crusaders at Eden Park.

Nonu's club side Ricoh Black Rams have been eliminated from the playoffs.

Nonu is likely to travel with the Blues to South Africa in week three of the competition for games against the Stormers and Bulls.
