Powerful Crusaders side named

The Crusaders have named a powerful lineup for Friday night's Super rugby opener against the Blues at Eden Park.

Keiran Read will lead the side in the absence of Richie McCaw with Matt Todd wearing the number seven jersey.

Tyler Bleyendaal will start at first five ahead of Tom Taylor.

Wyatt Crockett and Ben Franks prop the scum with Owen Franks on the bench.

All Black fullback Israel Dagg is on the wing with Tom Marshall preferred in the number 15 jersey.

Robbie Fruean and Ryan Crotty have overcome injuries to take their place in midfield.
