Sharks suffer blow ahead of final

Sharks midfielder Tim Whitehead has been ruled out of Saturday night's Super Rugby final against the Chiefs in Hamilton.

Whitehead is battling a hand injury.

There is some good news for the travel wary South Africans, with Springbok Patrick Lambie declared fit to join the squad.

The Sharks will stay across the Tasman until Thursday before heading to Hamilton.
