Otago's managed to hold off Northland to open their ITM Cup account with a 46-34 win in Dunedin. The hosts flew out to a 23-10 lead midway through the first half, before the Taniwha fought back to take the lead 27-26 early in the second spell. But the blue and golds then put the foot down and took the result out of reach for Northland to secure five points for the match thanks to a four-try bonus point. Northland take away a bonus point of their own for also scoring four tries. Photo: Photosport |
