The Blues have brought up just their third victory of the Super Rugby season, dismissing the Force 32-9 at Eden Park. It's their first bonus point victory of the year, and sees them leapfrog the Force into 13th spot on the ladder. Captain Keven Mealamu's particularly pleased with the influence of the sides young players. "I felt like over the last couple of months they've really put their hands up. Although it's been a tough season to see those players come through has been awesome, and that they're capable of playing at this level." The Brumbies have all but insured they'll finish on top of the Australian conference with a 19-15 win over the Waratahs in Sydney. In Johannesburg, the Lions have held off a Rebels' comeback to win the bottom-of-the-table encounter 37-32. Photo: Steven Luatua (Photosport) |
