For the second time in a row, the Crusaders have crushed a fellow New Zealand Super Rugby franchise. The red and blacks have followed on from their thumping of the Blues by hammering the Highlanders 51-18 in Christchurch. The home side led 32-13 at halftime after scoring four first half tries. The Crusaders scored a further three in the second spell, with Highlanders wing Hosea Gear grabbing an intercept for his side's only points of the second half. Zac Guildford scored a double, with Wyatt Crockett, George Whitelock, Richie McCaw, Ryan Crotty and Matt Todd all crossing for the home team.
