Sonny Bill Williams is yet to get a clearance from Japanese club Panasonic to play for the All Blacks in the Rugby Championship.

Panasonic has asked for medical examinations to be done on the midfielder before he can play for the All Blacks.

It was thought to be completed this week, but All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says it's a process that they always go through.

He says there's no point in them panicking and they'll likely get it done by the weekend.

Steve Hansen says he's 99 percent sure Williams will be confirmed to play.
