As is the way with Chiefs co-captain Craig Clarke, he's quietly confident of making this Saturday's Super Rugby final against the Sharks in Hamilton. Clarke is battling a medial ligament strain suffered late in the semi-final win over the Crusaders on Friday night. "We'll test it on Thursday when the boys are training and that'll mean if it passes then we can do captain's run. In the meantime I'll probably get to the pool again, doing a little bike just to get it moving." Clarke rates his chances of playing. "I'd say they'd be around 70 percent at the moment, from the progress from the last couple of days." He says the knee feels a lot better today than it did yesterday. Photo: Photosport |
