Wellington win ITM Cup opener

Wellington's opened their ITM Cup campaign with a dominant victory over Manawatu.

The Lions scored three tries to one in a comfortable 30-11 first up victory in Palmerston North.

Ardie Savea, Shaun Treeby and captain Jeremy Thrush all crossed on the back of forward dominance for the Lions, while the hosts could only muster a solitary late try to prop David Te Moana.
