Chiefs make four changes for Friday blockbuster

Share |

By: Nigel Yalden | Rugby News | Wednesday July 4 2012 16:49

Four changes to the Chiefs starting 15 for Friday night's Super Rugby blockbuster against the Crusaders in Hamilton.

In a surprise move, Andrew Horrell is named at centre ahead of Jackson Willison who drops to the reserves bench.

Horrell has been a standout at fullback and is comfortable at first or second five, but to this point has seen no game time in the 13 jersey at Super Rugby level.

There are three changes to the forward pack with Sona Taumalolo replacing Toby Smith at loosehead prop, Alex Bradley's in for the injured Kane Thompson at number eight, while Sam Cane gets the nod at openside, setting up the much wished for battle with All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw.
