The All Blacks are challenging South Africa to use the ball in tonight's Rugby Championship test in Dunedin.
With the match being played under the roof at Forsyth Barr Stadium, winger Cory Jane says there's no excuse to not throw the ball around.
"If both teams want to go out there and play positive rugby then you're going to see some points being scored, but if one team shuts up shop and plays negative rugby just to hold the score down - well it's just not too enjoyable and it's not good to be in, so I can presume it's not bloody good to watch."
Springbok captain Jean de Villiers says running with the ball isn't their first option, but they're open to the idea.
"We've obviously got a game plan that we believe in and we'll probably stick to that, but if it allows us to throw the ball around and we can see the space out wide we'll definitely try to take it into that space."
A relatively warm overnight low of seven degrees is forecast for Dunedin, with kick off at 7.35pm.
