Radio Sport will carry talkSPORT’s live Barclays Premier League and FA Cup commentary on an exclusive basis within New Zealand. talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station, today announced Radio Sport as its first English language broadcast partner to carry its official Barclays Premier League and FA Cup coverage during the 2012/13 season which starts on 19 August (NZ Time). “I’m delighted to be working with Radio Sport to bring our exclusive live coverage of the greatest league in the world to listeners in New Zealand. After one of the most exciting seasons in the history of the Premier League, we’ll be bringing all of the drama, goals and news live to fans throughout the upcoming season,” said Scott Taunton, Chief Executive, talkSPORT. Matt Hunt, Sport Director, Radio Sport said: “It’s exciting for us to be associated with one of the world’s biggest sporting competitions and the world’s biggest sports radio station.” Radio Sport will broadcast games on Sunday and Monday mornings from midnight until 6am, or when the last match finishes, a total of five matches each weekend. The deal grants Radio Sport access to talkSPORT’s expert commentary, insight and links with the biggest names in Premier League football as well as its production expertise and experience of broadcasting live sporting events. talkSPORT has agreed a deal with the Premier League for the exclusive package of international audio broadcasting rights for the next four football seasons (2012/13 – 2015/16) and with the FA for the next six seasons. |
