Spain is into the final of Euro 2012.

They've beaten Portugal on penalties after scores were locked at nil-all after extra time in Donetsk.

Cesc Fabregas kicked the winning penalty for the Spain, who will play either Germany or Italy in the final as they try to retain their title.

Both teams created opportunities but neither had any real clear cut shots on goal.

Both keepers saved the first penalties of the shootout, before Bruno Alves missed the fourth shot from the spot for Portugal.

Fabregas then went in off the post to put Spain through.

Cristiano Ronaldo never got the opportunity to take a penalty for Portugal.
