The All Whites have ended their Oceania World Cup qualifying campaign unbeaten, with a 2-nil away win over the Solomon Islands.
The understrength New Zealand side were always in control, despite having never played together before, with Tim Payne scoring both goals.
Coach Ricki Herbert says even though it was a dead rubber, there are plenty of positives.
Herbert says Ben Sigmund's return from suspension, and Andrew Durante's debut were two of a bunch of good performances.
He says Durante's put forward a really good challenge to be in the top side.
11 squad members risked suspension if they were yellow carded in the game, with Herbert leaving eight of them out of the squad.
Of those 11, only Ian Hogg will now miss November's first playoff tie against a CONCACAF side.
Ricki Herbert says they've managed the situation well.
Herbert says the players have performed well, and haven't coughed up any ridiculous cards they really shouldn't have.
