City too strong for Fulham to stay top

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Football News | Sunday February 5 2012 9:04

Manchester City's returned to the outright lead at the top of the English Premier League with a 3-nil home win over Fulham.

The match was played in treacherous snow, with ground attendants having to clear the tram lines of snow several times.

Manchester United can rejoin them at the head of the ladder if they beat Chelsea overnight tonight.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's romped to a 7-1 win over Blackburn at home to move into fifth.

Striker Robin van Persie found the back of net three times, while 18-year-old Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's singing the youngster's praises.

He says in September he was a young player, but now he is a reliable solid player in a matter of a few months.

Norwich, Sunderland, Wolves and Swansea are also in the winner's circle, while Wigan and Everton have fought out a one-all deadlock.
