Sigmund re-signs with Phoenix

All Whites defender Ben Sigmund has pledged his future to the Wellington Phoenix, re-signing with the A-League club for a further two seasons.

Sigmund has one year left on his current contract, this extension keeps him at the Phoenix until the end of the 2014/2015 season.

The 31-year-old defender has been one of the club's most consistent performers, winning the player of the year for the past two seasons.

Sigmund has played 91 games for the Phoenix, scoring six goals and forming a solid central defensive partnership with captain Andrew Durante.
